Welcome to Ritchie Place Books, a space I created to share stories that inspire courage, compassion, and hope. I'm so happy you stopped by!
The lamppost in the Ritchie Place Books logo bears the name Cook as a tribute to my grandfather, Joseph F. Cook aka Pops, and the front porch where our family’s stories began. That porch on Ritchie Place in Washington, D.C. was a place of laughter, wisdom, and conversation. It was a space where stories were shared, lessons were learned, and hearts were connected. Every book I write is an extension of those moments. Pops taught me that stories have the power to connect us, heal us, and remind us who we are. Through Ritchie Place Books, I hope to carry that legacy forward by sparking conversations that bring light, understanding, and joy to readers everywhere.
I have always believed that every child deserves to feel seen, included, and supported just as they are. My debut title, The Story of Maj, reminds readers of all ages that even in life’s hardest moments, we can rise, grow, and shine. I look forward to sharing more uplifting stories that connect hearts and celebrate the power of storytelling.
At Ritchie Place Books, every story begins with a conversation and together, those conversations become the books that connect us all.
Our conversations. Our stories. Our books.
