I'm Dr. Doreen N. Myrie 

​​​Dr. Doreen N. Myrie is an Assistant Professor of Special Education, Teacher Educator and a published scholar and children’s author. Her work centers on inclusive education, self-determination, and culturally responsive pedagogy for students with disabilities. Dr. Myrie integrates Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), interdisciplinary teaching, and storytelling to promote equity and engagement across learning environments. She brings nearly two decades of experience in special and elementary education and is committed to preparing educators who foster inclusive, empowering classrooms for all learners.
